hey guys . got back to school today . pretty much got nothing accomplished this weekend. you would think that sitting alone in a fairly empty house would be motivation to get some homework and reading done . or maybe start the paper that's due wednesday . but no . such a slacker .

it's kinda nice to be back . not that i love it here or anything, but at least there's people here to talk to . i can't wait till thanksgiving when everyone'll be home . hopefully my parents'll wanna do thanksgiving up here . i hope .

still sick . this is definately not a cold . there's some kind of virus going around my dorm - whatever tonee had, so this week is gonna suck . class starts at 8 am tomorrow .

we have facebook now !!!! facebookfacebookfacebookfacebookfacebook . i can't tell you how much time i've wasted today playing with it . so many people so little time .

my seventh grade sunday school teacher just IMed me . yayyyy . she invited me and courtney - her "little princesses" - to visit her in Aruba where she just moved with her husband to start a new church . how awesome would that be?! yayy . i'm just so glad she remembers us . oh that makes me so happppppppyyyyyyyyy . aruba jamaica oooooh i wanna take you to bermuda bahama come on pretty mama key largo montego baby why don't we go to la la la la la la la la la la la la la . really hyper if you couldn't tell

haven't slept much all weekend too so this is kinda weird . our house is a little too big to stay alone in for that long . gets kinda creepy . so i'm gonna head to bed . 8am bio tomorrow . ehhhhhhhh .

goodnight , Laura

Hey...i'm being forced to write because if i don't my sister has no idea what's i'm up to ......I had a Human Anatomy lab at 8am today. Yeah - that's right. My lab partner, Candice, looked really familiar and it turns out she was at DCLA my sophomore year and roomed with Courtney, Erin Glaser, and Larissa Fortna. And she's giving me a ride home tomorrow at noon so I can make my ortho appointment and sit in my empty house for a couple days. Ummmmmm finished lab at 10:30..studied in Knox till my Honors Freshman Seminar at noon which is always really cool. I met the girls for some genuinely crappy food in the cafe afterwards. Studied for an hour or so...Perkins Loan meeting....skipped choir to read. Apparently it's not a good idea to randomly stop reading assignments in your second week of classes, so that'll keep me busy all weekend trying to catch up. Dinner at 6..watched the end of Crossroads with Kathy, Marissa, and Christine. We needed a chick flick moment, and I actually liked it. such a girl... Christine and I took a walk around the campus which took a whole of ten minutes and sat in front of Stover for a while because we were just that bored out of our minds. If I don't find something fun to do in this town besides drink I'm either gonna completely lose my mindddddddddddddd or end up joining them..neither of which would be good. It's surprisingly a lot like Peters. I think that's subconsciously one of the reasons I hated it here so much when my colleges changed so quickly. But considering I cried during my campus tour <soverymuchnotlikeme> and came very close to losing it in my interview, I'm liking it quite a bit. Just boring. I talked to Ross again today and he pretty much agreed that it's just like peters high school but in a different setting. I'll get used to it. Ummmmmmm...Tonee got back from the ER and her mom's staying the night. I'm glad she's okay - the nurses just kinda of threw a combination of  medicine at her without even diagnosing her and they all combined in a weird way - and with the liquid diet they put her on. Eh stupid people bug me..

Other than that, nothing's really new. I still need a job. The financial aid department apparently only hires people without brainssss. They're the reason I'm in such a bad mood. They guarantee me a FEDERAL work sudy position granting me at least one thousand dollars worth of work, and they just kinda forget to give me a job...they don't even care either. "Oh, you need a job? Well, just try around campus..if you find one come tell us so we can keep it on record." a;digha;dgkjha;dlgk Funny thing is no one can hire a work study student because they haven't been alloted money from the budget for it or some crap like that. So essentially every random person on campus has a job somewhere - except for work study students. a;dkjgha;kfdjhg

nothin else new ... was pushed off a bed a few minutes ago .. ouchie.. Need to talk to Professor Doody still .. she expressed interest in sponsoring a dance team for next year if I wanna get one started. Still haven't been contacted by my sHIneS person yet .. getting a little disappointed with my lack of mail...

Coming home tomorrow though which makes me happy. Kinda awkward with my roommate, so my own room and a clean shower will be awesome. Although it's always a little depressing to come "home" and walk into a dark and empty house. I'll get to go to service and sunday school though ... see Keri and some of the older kids and Dave and whatnot. Yay. Meeting Tonee and Kathy for breakfast at 7:30 before class, so I'm gonna start reading then head to bed.

Much love, Laura
